Our client a leading Shipping & Freight Forwarding company is looking to recruit Brnach Managers for their African Operations.  The ideal candidates should have worked in African Regions earlier in the same or equivalent positions. Main duty includes:  Manages the Logistics department for the branch to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. Ensures warehouse stock is at an appropriate inventory level.  Helps resolves issues regarding staff shortages, routes, loading of equipment and delivery. May interact with referral sources on a regular basis. Develops and implements new procedures to improve productivity and cut costs in the branch distribution function. Ensures all warehouse equipment in stock are in compliance with  regulations including maintenance of appropriate logs and files.  Provides training sessions for subordinate staff to ensure their compliance. Establishes and maintains policies and procedures for handling equipment orders and delivery, transportation maintenance and documentation of any incident that occurred.  Informs staff of any regulatory changes. Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance appraisal and disciplining of subordinate staff. Ensures project deadlines and performance standards are established and met. May respond to telephone calls from referral sources, vendors and delivery employees regarding equipment orders etc.  Develops necessary corrective action to resolve any deficiencies. Performs other related duties as directed by the management.  Experience in working in African Region is must.
