Description

Post contract administration, under FIDIC contract form including

Payments

• Evaluate contractors’ entitlement of payment for works completed;
• Assess value of contractor’s payment for materials
• Assess payment for work executed against variation orders;
• Prepare payment certificate and issue to CM/RE for approval

Variations

• Prepare potential variation estimates for Client Approval;
• Review contractors’ submission against variation instructions;
• Discuss/agree variations with contractors;

Correspondence

• Draft contractual correspondence
• Respond to letters received from contractor, requiring contractual input

Claims

• Review, assist to negotiate and draw up settlement of contractual claims;
• Assist in review of time extensions/delays and penalties

General

• Offer strategic guidance to clients, including prioritising spending, outsourcing to subcontractors, etc
• Prepare budgets and estimates
• Manage costs on site
• Advise on materials and construction
• Participate in procurement process
• Analyse outcomes and write detailed reports
• Value completed work and organise payments
• Deal with planning issues and building regulations
• Act for parties in disputes, understand and adhere to building legislation, health and safety law and contract law.

Requirements

Degree in Quantity Surveying from University of Moratuwa or an accredited  University

Experience with Post Contract infrastructure projects within a consultancy

Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) desirable

Middle East or Gulf experience

Must be Al Ain Municipality Approved
