Quality Controller/Inspector

Key functions

·        To determine whether finished products are of a specified quality

·        Determine the causes of product defects that may be found

·        Develop methods for reducing their occurrence

·        Inspect and test products at various stages in the production process

·        Variations from existing standards of quality and reliability

·        Suggest changes to achieve the best quality possible

·        Non-conformity reporting

·        Recommend methods to minimize the amount of scrap

·        Act as liaison with topmost management, subcontractors and/or internal departments

Prerequisites

·        Engineering degree with a minimum of three years experience in carpentry, joinery and furniture.

·        Proven ability to supervise personnel .Excellent verbal/written communication skills
