Term: CONTRACT ENGINEER - 3 to 6 months duration

Activity / Context / Project:

Setting-to-work, Testing, Commissioning, Integration and Final Acceptance of a CCTV system based on Pelco products working in an IP environment.

Metro Project in Dubai.

Scope of work:

Setting-to-work, tuning and stand-alone tests on site (stations / depots) of all installed video-cameras;

Integration and commissioning on site (SIT) and with the OCC (E2ET) of CCTV system;

Technical coordination and support to the technical responsible of the other interfacing COM subsystems;

Coordination/reporting with other contractors and the customers for the progress of the site work.

Job Environment:

The CCTV Tester will be part of the CCTV Testing Team inside the T&C Team in Dubai. Within the Testing Team a Test Leader or "tester in charge" will be designated in order to lead the specific test activity.

Reporting to the T&C Manager and/or to the T&C field coordinator(s).

Close coordination with the CCTV Lead Engineer and the CCTV field coordinator.

On-site integration work for implementation of the commissioning, integration testing and acceptance of the CCTV system.

Mission:

- Implement the CCTV commissioning strategy prepared by the CCTV Lead Engineer and by the T&C Manager;

- Coordinate with the Construction department to verify the availability of the technical and dedicated rooms before the actual CCTV testing and integration work can commence;

- Perform on site the following CCTV activities:

- Installation inspection/check-out;

- initial tuning and setting-to-work;

- Stand-alone tests (SAT);

- Site integration tests (SIT);

- End-to-end tests (E2ET), integration with the Operation Control Centre:

- Integration and interface tests with other subsystems;

- Final acceptance;

- Monitor, control and report the progress through regular site progress reports;

- Support the overall OCS (SCADA) and COM integration activities;

- Report daily to the CCTV field coordinator;

- Participate to technical and/or progress meeting with the Customer and/or the other parties of the T&C team;

- The candidate shall have also the knowledge and capabilities to perform, if needed, the testing and commissioning activities relative to the interfacing Digital Voice and Video Recording (DVVR) system.

Skills:

- Perfect knowledge of the components of a comprehensive  IP CCTV system;

- Good knowledge of the components and functionalities of the DVVR systems

- Sense of organization;

- Accustomed to site work;

- Understanding of IP environment;

- Experience of commissioning and integration procedures;

- Experience in IP CCTV commissioning;

- Experience in site integration with other systems;

- Experience in IP CCTV site acceptance.
