| Job Description |
| Key Responsibilities: Ensures the proper functioning of the Credit Risk – Domestic: -Oversees the implementation of credit proposal processing within the unit to enhance and streamline work efficiencies and reduce risk and expenses. -Coordinates with the Business groups to develop and implement approval and credit line strategies that optimize risk-reward and improve turn-around times in credit decision making. -Supervises the Retail Credit Control function to ensure the proper administration of the retail credit and recovery approval and implementation process as well as the effective update of the Retail Credit Policy -Examines the Retail Credit products to ensure alignment with risk and compliance standards. -Coordinates with business users as well as various Risk Units to develop and implement policies, procedures, controls, and systems to assist in continuously adapting more effective techniques in credit analysis to mitigate credit exposures, and ensure adherence to appropriate regulations. - Supervises periodic status report preparation for the timely identification of problem credits in Corporate, Private and Retail, including recommended solutions. - Participates in system enhancement projects such as the Burgan Credit Rating database (BCR), Credit History database, and spreadsheet parameters to enable in better understanding of the performance of entities being reviewed. - Promotes a "risk culture" throughout the Bank by advocating accountability within individual business areas and works with them to eradicate unnecessary risk. - Generates and escalates periodic and requested reports ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. - Participates in the selection and development of staff. Interviews, coaches, advises, evaluates the performance of, and when necessary, disciplines personnel. Reviews recommendations of subordinate managerial and supervisory staff and provides guidance in resolving complex or sensitive problems. Maintains and promotes positive employee relations in the work environment - Maintains updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the field and related matters of interest to the department - Prepares, secures approval, and implements department operating budget and operates within those guidelines - Participates in the various cross-functional committees/teams for multiple purposes to achieve optimal cooperation and to assume seamless quality service - Performs other duties in line with scope of work and as instructed by the direct manager Authorities: Credit approval authority as per the authority matrix.
Independence: Devises work methods according to general directives, policies and Advanced professional standards & Completed assignments generally reviewed
Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business Administration or relevant
Training/Professional Certifications :IBS preferred
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office
Language Skills : Arabic, English,
Experiece Required: Minimum 8 years of Related Experience
Nationlality: Only Kuwait.
