A leading General Contracting Company is looking to hire in Beirut a:

 

Lebanese IT Administrator (ITA):




Work description:

 

• Report to the IT Manager while helping the overall organization run smooth and effective operations using the IT technical resources (comm.. networks, access to the applications systems, security measures etc).
• Monitor, evaluate and assess the processes and procedures of LAN systems operations to improve efficiency and quality.
• Assist users in identifying and solving systems and data communication problems.
• Identifies Areas of operation that need renewed or upgraded equipments, such as modems, routers and other networking equipment.
• Coordinate with software and hardware vendors in order to solve problems and while remaining up to date on new technologies and features.
• Assist users in identifying & solving systems and data communications problems.
• Supervises data storage & back-up
• Overall ensure that the technical IT resources contribute effectively to the business in order to optimize time and money.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Has a minimum of 4 years experience in the IT field. Previous experience in construction companies is a plus.
• Typically holds a bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science. Emphasis is a well organized and meticulous person.
• The candidate key technical skills include a thorough knowledge of the Microsoft environment including SQL Servers 2005, Exchange, Maintenance and replication mechanisms. Knowledge of Linux is major plus.
• Other technical skills include knowledge of CISCO appliances, & VPN techniques. Also, TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, WINS.
• Knowledge of VMware virtual machine technology is a plus.
• Language skills: Fluency in English French and Arabic.
• Has excellent communication skills and a strong interpersonal skills with the users. He/She must have a problem solving approach in order to be able to solve problems that might occur while using the system.
• Two business references are required. At least one is less than 5 years old. Can only be direct colleague, line manager, client or partner with whom  an interaction of at least 6 months has been achieved.
