Having been established in the Middle East for 2 years now, Reed have built up an enviable client base of developers, consultancies, constructors and contractors.

In order to support the expansion of the quality management function for one of our distinguished Clients, a leading international construction and property consultancy with major projects commencing across the region, we require a Project Quality Manager.

The role will report to the Quality Director to provide support to projects, to ensure Corporate, Project and Client Quality requirements are met and that National and International standards are complied with.

The main function of the role will be to establish, implement and maintain the Project Quality System in accordance with Quality Management requirements.

Other responsibilities will include;

·        Planning of all quality assurance activities in conjunction with the project leader / project manager.

·        Preparation of project processes and procedures in line with quality requirements.

·        Identification of ambiguities in light of the project scope, drawings / specifications regarding the agreed standards to be achieved.

·        Reviewing and monitoring the inspection system to ensure that workmanship and materials are as specified.

·        Establishing and carrying out a comprehensive audit programme for the project

·        Reviewing Contractor quality plans, method statement, risk assessment, ITP’s, and check sheets

·        Establishing -and maintaining Quality Assurance records related to the project.

·        Working closely with other Quality Managers to receive and implement ideas for continual improvement of the QMS and achievement of Best Practice.

Successful applicants will be degree qualified in a relevant construction discipline and have 10+ years of experience (out of which the last 5-6 years should be in the Quality function, heading the department of a medium/large international construction company). They will also have extensive knowledge in the management of Project Quality / Business Systems, as well as an appreciation of the related skills of environmental and safety management .  The candidate shall have undergone   training in quality auditing and hold an auditor qualification to a recognised Quality Standard.
