Deputy Services Manager – (Gas Turbines) -  Saudi

My client is one of the world’s leading suppliers of power generation and energy delivery technologies in all areas of the energy industry including coal, oil, natural gas and nuclear energy as well as with renewable resources such as water, wind, solar and alternative fuels.

Job Role & Responsibilities:

Ø       Provide leadership to the Repair Service Center.

Ø       Meet and exceed Environmental, Health and Safety expectations.

Ø       Manage all aspects of the Hot Gas Path cell that includes repair of stationary nozzles, shrouds etc. and bucket inspections.

Ø       Lead the establishment and attainment of cell goals in compliance, quality, cost, cycle, productivity and safety.

Ø       Provide effective communication across the cell.

Ø       Provide leadership development and performance feedback to the supervisors, engineers, planners and shop floor employees.

Ø       Obtain the necessary resources (equipment, manpower etc) effectively to meet long range and near term goals.

Ø       Review the organization, manpower, staffing and training relative to needs and funding. This does not only include performance, salary, and career appraisals for assigned personnel, but also hiring, retaining and developing new key technical talent.

Ø       Establish and maintain coordination with component leaders, design, repair engineering.

Ø       Maintain a constant understanding of the production status

Ø       Identify resource needs to meet production demand and inform leadership

Ø       Lead productivity projects to reduce cost and cycle time

Ø       Initiate/support Lean improvement activities

Ø       Follow up job status during OTR process and keep OSIRIS/JDE up to date after coordinating among the cell. This coordination will require knowledge of customer requirements including Want Date, Purchase Order, Billing and Shipping details

Ø       Lead/Participate in production meetings Inform management by running reports for Promise Dates approaching, jobs to be updated etc. 

Ø       Coordinate with Purchasing and Stores to obtain required material.

Ø       Run reports such as actual cost vs. budgeted cost for management.

Ø       Contact and give update customers on job status.

Ø       Coordinate with Logistics for shipments.

Ø       Provide leadership in on-site safety and quality systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

Ø       Engineering Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Ø       Minimum 10 years of manufacturing/repair experience. Minimum 5 years gas turbine experience/knowledge.

Ø       Good command of oral and written English.

Ø       Work efficiently without direct supervision, consistently demonstrating high levels of performance.

Ø       Ready to work continuously at customer facilities.

Ø       Willing and able to travel extensively in \ out Saudi Arabia.

Ø       Must have and maintain a valid Passport and Driver's License.

Ø       Environmental, health & safety mindset and compliance.

Ø       Excellent computer skills.

Desirable skills:

Ø       Arabic language – writing and speaking

Ø       Resident in Saudi Arabia with transferable Iqama

Ø       Six Sigma – Green Belt.
