Job Description

This role provides an ideal opportunity to take your next step up the corporate ladder. By taking on the responsibility for the commercial and financial aspects of the IPS business unit you will have the opportunity to make a personal difference by assisting IPS to achieve their annual targets. 

You will act as a conduit between Business Development, Project Delivery and our Corporate Departments. In return, you will be given deserved autonomy, genuine career progress in a positive motivated environment in which to work.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Enforcing best practice Project control and reporting across all regions:-
    • Project set-up.
    • Regular reporting to IPS Management.
    • Flagging project issues & concerns.
    • Tracking & forecasting of project profitability & consultant utilization.
    • Post project reviews.
  • Control and reporting of ISPs P&L:-
    • Project revenue calculations.
    • Cost control.
    • Variance analysis v’s budget / forecast.
  • Liaison with PM’s, Finance & Clients on the management of IPS’s Balance Sheet:-
    • Timely invoicing / management of accrued revenue.
    • Outstanding receivables.
    • Recording & tracking of cost accruals & prepayments.
  • Involvement in the creation of the annual budget and subsequent forecasts.
  • Support to Business Development.
    • Creation and monitoring of Resource Schedules.
    • Initial checking of contract terms in RFP’s.
  • Production of a monthly IPS Management Pack

Essential Capabilities/Skills:

  • 7 years relevant work history, at least 3 in the UAE region
  • Educated to degree level or possess an A/C’s qualification
  • Good technical skills in areas of financial accounting and control procedures
  • Demonstrate ability to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively in conjunction with Clients, colleagues and subcontractors to provide quality seamless service between all parties
  • Strong team player who can communicate, motivate and interact effectively with technical, commercial and support staff team-members
  • Ability to quickly develop professional and trusted relationships with a variety of cultures and clients
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, Arabic and advantage
