Job Description

The main objective of this role is to attain forecasted sales covering agreed the territory, assist distributors’ sales force in field calls on dealers and end users and supervise, guide and develope distributors’ sales staff.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Attain forecasted sales while ensuring adherence to established price lists.
  • Train in the proper applications of assigned products, learns their practical limitations and imparts this knowledge accurately to distributors and end users.
  • Train in the application, features and disadvantages of competitors’ products and learns their practical limitations.
  • Learn and appliy the group’s prices and its pricing policies. Learns the competitor’s pricing schedule and pricing policies.
  • Call on end users with the objective of promoting and specifying the company products.
  • Extend technical service support to the company's Distributors and end users to ensure the proper use of these products.
  • Allocate time to the various commodities he/she handles in accordance with his/her Supervisor’s directives.
  • Plan travel schedule and utilises time for most effective sales coverage of territory.
  • Consider the value of both personal and prospect’s time by frequently arranging sales calls by prior appointments.
  • Request assistance in handling situations which require either greater or different experience or knowledge through supervisor.
  • Recommend the addition or deletion of distributors for the assigned products.
  • Analyse all available sales history information, including company customer analysis statements, to alert himself/herself to lost or gained business.
  • Conduct customer product application sessions as required.
  • Initiate recommendations for handling customer and distributor complaints concerning poor product performance or service quality.
  • Report all new or unusual pertinent market conditions, competitors’ activities and product performance information to supervisor.
  • Maintain assigned sales equipment ,manuals and automobile.
  • Become familiar with company ethical and legal policies.
  • Assist in providing territory sales forecast information as required.

Requirements:  The successful candidate must have at least 3 years sales experience within the Oil and Gas industry in the Middle East - prefereably Abu Dhabi, UAE.  Must be degree qualified in a relevant field with strong communication skills, local networks and fluency in English.
