The Role of a VMware and Storage Solutions Architect

The Presales Solutions Architect (PSA) is responsible for providing lead proposal scoping and technical presales support with the delivery team to produce quality proposals. The PSA partners with the Account Manager’s & Project Manager’s to maintain coordinated account solution selling efforts as the technical authority for projects.

You will ideally be an experienced Presales Storage and Virtualization Architect with a background providing highly technical Solutions to SME and Fortune 500 companies

You must have a track record in designing and proposing complex IT solutions, with not only understanding, but implementation of best practices.

Ideally, with your knowledge and understanding, you will possess:

·         Strong product and best practice knowledge of VMware (ESX, ESXi, Virtual Center, SRM, VIEW, etc).

·         At least 5 years experience and knowledge with Enterprise Storage systems (SAN, NAS), with Netapp being the preferred product, however HP, HDS, EMC etc are all relevant.

·         Solid experience and knowledge of server infrastructure (HP Hardware and MS Software)

·         Strong Knowledge of Backup & Disaster Recovery

·         Good knowledge of networking and protocols.

Required Skills

Minimum 5 years of technical experience with VMware and Storage Technologies, as well as:

·         Strong presentation, executive client management and business development skills

·         English as a first Language (Mandatory)

·         Previous experience working at a Vendor or Systems Integrator

·         Ideally possess two years experience in the Middle Eastern Marketplace

·         Superior organizational and consultation/negotiation skills

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred but not mandatory

Qualifications:
We believe the training is in the work, not just the study. However, if you had certifications in the following they would be highly regarded:           NCDA,NCIE, VCP, VCDX
