Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

- Must have a degree in Accounting, (with preferably a Master in any other Accounting or Auditing discipline). Should be a CPA, ACCA or ACA and a relevant certification (preferably CIA) or CFE.

- Held a senior position in Internal Audit / Risk Management function of multinational company for at least 15-20 years (Experience of mining & mineral industry would be an added advantage)

- External or internal auditing experience with a Big 4 professional services firm (is a plus)

Required Skill Set

(In case of IT requirements) Knowledge of Microsoft application and related mining & marketing software

Overall Job Purpose

- Directs, supervises, coordinates and controls internal audit activities to ensure that the strategic directions of Corporate Internal Audit are consistently achieved.

- Establishing continuous and systematic evaluation of adequacy and effectiveness of Risk management and Corporate Governance Processes. Developing Risk Assessment, (designing/reviewing/finalizing) and Audit Plans.

- Allocating audit resources, developing/administering and directing internal audit programs in accordance with established Audit Charter, reporting to management on findings, analysis, appraisals and recommendations regarding the reviewed activities, counseling and evaluating methods manage risks and governance processes of the assigned company/companies group of functional areas

- Coordinating with concerned personnel to ensure uniformity in audit plan/programs/systems/procedures in the company

- Developing qualified and skilled auditors to perform various types of activities

- Coordinating with IT Audit Specialist in Information Management

- Communicate with Audit Committee along with Corporate Internal Audit Management and ensures compliance with their directions.
