Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Electrical/I&C Engineering.

Minimum Experience:

8 years’ engineering or project management experience in a heavy industrial or utilities environment.

5 years’ experience of managing/supervising the activities of a large technical drawing office.

3 years’ man-management/supervisory experience.

Technical Support:

To respond to the technical support requests from O&M and provide them Technical Support in O&M matters. Provide O&M related technical literature. Participate and provide support in technical incidence investigations. Conduct and provide support in carrying out technical studies before giving recommendations.

Scope of Work (SOW) Development:

Define and review the scope of work for any technical Service Request, Incident Analysis, and study for enhancement the plant and coordinate major activities to maintain productivity.

Excavation Permits:

Manage the issuance and control of Excavation permits within Marafiq premises and for Marafiq facilities in the city

Maintenance & Inspection:

Conduct and support in regular inspections of assets, analyze maintenance related issues and difficulties, investigate failure incidents and ensure optimum operating condition of plant assets. Provide optimum solution to plant problems.

Preparation of reports:

Prepare, review Technical reports of TSR studies, other technical studies requests. Ensure adherence to codes, regulations and standards while preparation of such reports.

Cost Control:

Ensure that cost benefit analysis is done while providing the technical solutions to plant problems. Ensure that section operates within the approved budget.

About Company

MARAFIQ was Established by Royal Decree in October 2000 as a joint-stock company with four major shareholders - the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RC), Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), and the Public Investment Fund (PIF) each holding 24.81 percent of the company. Seven private companies are the remaining shareholder. Marafiq started operating as a private power and water utility company on 1 January 2003, with initial owner equity of SR 2.5 billion.
