Our client is involved in many of the largest and most technically demanding projects in the UK and worldwide. Current regional projects range from the upgrading of 350km of highway in Abu Dhabi to infrastructure design for a vast tourist development in Abu Dhabi’s Desert Islands to technical advice on the Palm Jumeirah monorail to shopping and leisure centres in Bahrain and Dubai to the huge P station power and desalination plant on the Dubai/Abu Dhabi border.

Job Description
A valued member of the design team, the CAD Technician will be involved in a range of structures projects and assisting in these project directions. Responsibilities of the role will include the following: - Reporting to the team leader you will support and assist the design team in the production of AutoCAD drawings for a range of schemes including new build and strengthening of structures and bridges
- This position will involve the preparation of technical drawings, principally preliminary and detailed bridge design drawings and reinforced concrete details using AutoCAD.
Candidate Specification
Applicants must be committed to providing high quality solutions and have communication and technical ability. As relevant to UAE applicants, the applicant must be able to obtain an NOC from their existing employer to be employed by our client. - Candidates should have a personal interest in engineering design and planning.
- It is essential that the candidate have experience in CAD design, preferably AutoCAD 2007
- The CAD experience should preferably include significant bridge experience and RC detailing.
- Highway layout and AutoDesk Civil Design experience is desirable.
- Candidates should also have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
