Our client is a consultancy that provides project management services through all stages of the project, from inception to operation.  Their services also include providing commercial and cost consultancy, developing estimates, business cases and strategic documentation, determining procurement routes and strategies and assisting their clients with project planning and coordination.
 
Technical Competencies

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Sound knowledge of all applicable software
• Minimum 10 years experience in structural construction of high rise buildings, commercial and residential projects (minimum 5 years experience in the Gulf region)
• Strong foundation in structural engineering fundamentals and strong understanding of building structures, their stability and load transfer systems 
• Should able to analyse technical/construction! build-ability issue 
• Strong attention to details and ability to multitask on several projects 
• Experience in dealing with client and contractor 

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on the contractor's activities on site with respect to quality and methodology compliance of structural works 
• Monitor the structural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents / drawings, specifications and the procedures manual, and coordinate with other disciplines for the project's on time completion within the budget 
• Review and process all structural technical submittals and contractor's structural change order proposals, and prepare evaluation report highlighting potential shortcomings 
• Review contractors' claims related to structural works, prepare recommendations for claims approval or rejection
• Review materials delivered to site for conformance with approved sample materials, equipment and report findings 
• Review and approval of shop drawings and material submittals 
• Review and respond to all shop drawings reviews, field change request and non conformance reports 
• Review change order requests for additions, deletions or changes to the original scope of work 
• Ensure adherence to applicable codes, rules and regulations
