A. POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for ensuring that the design for the high rise buildings, malls and properties developed and submitted are as per the client’s requirements. The position is accountable for ensuring that the qualities of the designs are as per the agreement with the client. Supervise the design department and coordinate with other departments for the smooth functioning.

B.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design manager will be responsible for the review and monitoring of design activities and coordination of technical issues with focus on master plan.
2. Projects are high rise commercial and residential towers, retail and leisure complexes.
3. Working on the client side, key duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
4. Prepare requests for proposals including technical design scopes for consultants and identify design elements and deliverables to be undertaken for projects; prepare information packages for projects to issue to consultants and other project participants; evaluate consultant proposals;
5. Manage design schedules, monitor design progress and coordinate with project management consultants; ensure incorporation of best practices in building design where relevant;
6. Review construction drawings and specifications prepared by design consultants and make recommendations accordingly; liaise with statutory authorities to secure design approvals;
7. Review and comment design submittals to ensure compliance with the client’s requirements; develop design guidelines and drafting standards.
