The successful candidate will support the Spatial Planning Team in providing environmental planning expertise for land & marine infrastructure developments. Key tasks:
• Supports the Head of Urban Planning.
• Contributes to the development of a corporate environmental review process for evaluating tenant applications.
• Participates in conduct of tenant application evaluation and land allocation process.
• Contributes the development of predictive environmental assessment tools/models.
• Liaises with external environmental management authorities.
• Contributes to development of predictive air quality model and other critical planning analysis and decision-making tools.
• Participates in preparing development/zoning regulations, design guidelines, and environmental management guidelines.
• Analyzes environmental conditions, environmental impacts, land use compatibility, and other environmental management tools.
• Prepares and analyzes technical and administrative reports, statements, and correspondence.
• Prepares and/or reviews environmental impact assessments or studies.

Qualifications

·    Degree or Post Graduate Qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or associated field.

Competencies

• Strong knowledge of environmental science  and/or related field(s)
• Strong ability in methods and techniques of effective research and technical reports.
• Clear and concise communication in English, both orally and in writing.
• Team player.
