The successful candidate will support the Spatial Planning Team in providing planning expertise for land & marine infrastructure developments. Key tasks:
§ Monitors space allocations and reservations of ADPC owned land.
§ Recommends on optimizing land and facilities utilization.
§ Ensures compliance with existing Master Plans.
§ Analyses site criteria, terrain constraints, circulation, land use compatibility, environmental impacts, utilities, and other urban services among others.
§ Coordinates the interface with external parties such as utility providers and regulatory bodies with regards to the planning activities.
§ Participates in preparing development/zoning and design guidelines.
§ Participates in review of tenant development plans (space allocation).
§ Participates in establishing land utilization policies including tenant site allocation procedure.
§ Provides required planning input for creating GIS/Autocad drawings.
§ Prepares and analyzes technical and administrative reports, statements, and
Correspondence.
Qualifications
Degree or Post Graduate Qualification in Urban Planning or associated field
Minimum of 10 years experience
Membership of a recognized professional body (AICP, RTPI etc)
Competencies
§ Strong knowledge of urban planning, urban design, and/or related field(s)
§ Strong ability in methods and techniques of effective research and technical report preparation and presentation
§ Clear and concise communication in English, both orally and in writing
§ Able to engage with stakeholders and establish a high level of credibility as a representative of ADPC
