Essential Functions (Responsibilities): The Sales Area Manager plays a key role within the Oil&Gas organization and impact on the strategy for the assigned account. He/she will be responsible for the area growth and will demonstrate leadership in managing the growth and penetration of the assigned customers or countries. He/she will maintain and grow wallet share and will support and represent a defined product portfolio. This person reports directly to the Sales Region Manager and could have a team of people who report directly to him/her. Although knowledge and experience in the Oil&Gas sector is fundamental, a major factor will be the attitude of the candidate who must have the type of personality that is prepared to get on with the job without having a huge team behind him/her in addition to a strong entrepreneurial attitude. Furthermore he/she will need to demonstrate the ability to work at the senior level. In order to be effective he/she must gain the respect of the P&Ls very quickly. This will be particularly challenging for those who come from outside of GE Growth Responsible for the growth of GE Oil & Gas Sales business in the area In-depth knowledge of Oil & Gas Market and Customers Promote sales of entire Oil&Gas product portfolio Define and implement of Oil& Gas marketing and commercial strategies in order to increase orders volume and profitability Leverage cross-functional and cross-business resources to maximize market penetration Promote leads generation for GE Oil&Gas Establish a systematic business scouting plan with the purpose of identifying new market opportunities Coordinate sales activities ensuring the development of the GE Oil & Gas brand awareness in the market Customer Centricity Able to generate immediate credibility with key customers and to understand their needs and solve their problems in an accurate and timely fashion Report financial objectives and results and market trends to the Region Manager
Qualifications/Requirements: Education Engineering degree or equivalent Sales/Commercial experience (7+ yrs) MUST HAVE
Qualifications English + Local Language fluency
Ability to execute and communicate Sales strategies in a global environment, to achieve the aggressive Sales goals of the company Sales Experience in the Oil & Gas market
Desired: Six Sigma Green Belt Certified (only for GE employees). A local package will be offered.
