· Prepare buying plans based on the sales forecast;

· Attend product fairs and exhibitions;

· Identify suppliers and selects products consistent with the local taste;

· Negotiate orders and the terms of delivery;

· Manage product line, inventory replenishment, and sell through;

· Monitor sales per item;

· Reorder products as required.

· Commercially focused style with an understanding of business issues, confidence to work in a fast paced results-driven, task focused environment;

· Thorough working knowledge of retail issues.

· 2 to 5 years buying experience preferably within the home furnishing sector.

· Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.

· Previous experience on branded home/fashion stores will be an added advantage.
