About the Role This position reports to the Senior Safety Manager and the main purpose of the role is under the general guidance of the Senior Safety Manager, responsible for promoting Safety within container terminals. Ensure compliance with DP Worlds Safety policy and guidelines and with international laws and regulations
Key accountabilities will include:
- Establish DP World as a recognized industry leader within the field of Safety and Environment.
- Assist in implementing the Fatal Risk Standards
- Reduce lost time accidents, lost workday cases and near misses to an absolute minimum.
- Conduct accident investigation required to investigate accidents on the terminals.
- Further develop Safety with high focus on awareness and training.
- Supervise the Safety Management System is being adhered with by all departments.
Experience & Qualifications In order to give credible support to the organisation and be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years hands on Health and Safety experience. Experience of having this within a port environment is desirable.
- Working knowledge of air and noise sampling.
- Knowledge of Permit to Work confined spaces.
- Experience of conducting audits and inspections and report writing.
