Job Responsibility

• To help communicate the purpose, vision and direction of the school, to help ensure that staff and students are aware of the aims, policies and programme of the school.
• Produce, monitor and evaluate the school development plan (curriculum) with the Principal, ensuring that appropriate priorities and targets for improvement have been identified
• Monitor the curriculum needs, including staffing, in-service training to help meet the school's aims better
• Help organize the best management and staffing structure for the school, with the Principal encouraging a positive collaborative culture
• Provide up-to-date job descriptions which clearly and explicitly define roles and responsibilities for all curriculum staff
• Produce a staff development policy, with the Principal, and make recommendations on staff professional development and training which are linked to individual and school needs through the annual review process and the school development plan
• Ensure that the curriculum provides each student with a balanced programme suitable for his abilities, interests and needs
• Evaluate student performance in all internal and external assessments and examinations
• Monitor, review and evaluate the whole curriculum and the SDP  annually and to make recommendations to the leadership team, on an annual basis
• Formulate the curriculum needs, including staffing, resources, in-service training and school accommodation to help meet the school’s aims better
