Job Description

Develop and grow the Asset Optimization PlantWeb business within the assigned MEA Areas with/through the Emerson Local Business Partners Sales Channel, Project Pursuit teams & Key growth initiatives. The AO PlantWeb business to consist of: PlantWeb Services, Machinery Solutions (CSI 4500, CSi 6000, CSI 9210, AMS Performance Monitor), PAM (AMS Device Manager w/ relevant PW Services, Asset management Portal)

 

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Establish & monitor progress of sales & business development plans of the AO PlantWeb business with each LBP organization in assigned area
  • Coordinate, and lead as appropriate, the business development plans of the Business Unit BDM's that support the area LBP's.
  • To provide leadership for cross AO component pursuit of defined key projects
  • To Qualify AO projects suitable for project pursuit
  • Establish and development relationship with local Engineering contractors and key customers.
  • To be the contact person for all AO project pursuit related enquiries & support issues in designated region
  • To coordinate activities and communications with all Emerson offices, divisional partners and local buss partners involved in these pursuits, specifically in the domain of end user relationships and customer satisfaction
  • Drive the regional project pursuit process
  • Lead the account management of an assigned Emerson Industry Center; develop and implement a strategy to leverage and work with the Industry Center as an additional sales channel for AO PlantWeb deliverables
  • Assume the sales leadership role on select key/strategic major projects associated Emerson Marquee/Key Account program
  • Assists in the coordination of  training LBP sales personnel to ensure the highest levels of product/ service/ application expertise.
  • Participate in project pursuit and account penetration planning and execution.
  • Work closely with the Emerson AVP's to communicate and coordinate AO PlantWeb sales plans and ongoing strategies. Includes participation in AVP quarterly reports and LBP visitations
  • Develop & grow relationships with other Emerson Divisions

 Asset Optimization Division feedback

  • Provide input to Asset Optimization Business Units for improvement of current deliverables and market strategies
  • Provide input on Business Unit  deliverables  and competitiveness.
  • Provide input & communication on Key project status & pursuits

Strategic Planning Input

  • Coordinate AO PlantWeb resources needed for the area to support the sales & business development plans
  • Provide input on major competitor strategies within assigned area.
  • Identify Area market opportunities & Projects.
  • Communicate and support divisional strategies within area.
  • Provide ongoing feedback on success of strategy implementation.
  • Coordinate and lead all AO projects within assigned region
  • Lead strategic project planning & strategies for key projects
  • Provide input to all Project pursuit team members

 General Business Support

  • Monitor and suggest pricing strategies to ensure maximum business results and maximum margin levels for all types of projects
  • Maintain controllable business expenses within guidelines and budget
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and provide specific recommendations for improvement to the relevant AO PlantWeb Business Unit
  • Develop and provide metrics that provide information on Area/ LBP performance.

 Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. However, it does require extensive ability to influence and motivate the Emerson LBP Sales Channel. It also requires this same ability for the internal AO PlantWeb Business Unit support resources
