| Job Description |
To keep to the cutting-edge in technology related research, ensuring AKCO to stay in the leading position regarding application and integration of technology in the RoK.To advise the Security Manager AKCO on security technological aspects with strategic impact on the company, the region or related sub-structures.Configuring effective systems and technology orientated structures towards maximum support of operations.Interact with and demonstrate sound knowledge of ICT principles, standards and specifications to enable full networkability of all systems.Develop mechanisms supporting managers through-out the TAOR with security technology and product specific information allowing them to effectively plan on the application there-of.To identify and liaise with suppliers on a corporate level and country based suppliers, ensuring best prices, best practises and economy of scale.To assist in the selection, due-diligence studies and in cooperation with the financial/legal entities in the company, contract with service providers towards installation and maintenance packages. To ensure that all Quality assurance practises is adhere to on contracted work.To ensure the availability of resources, skills and services needed to ensure the highest of standards, endeavouring to extend the range of skills and to coordinate outsourced skills (consultants) to maximum productivity.Coordinating with Manager Training, set formal training objectives and assist in the compilation and design of technology related training curricula.To develop and manage a self-sufficient section focussed on electronic security system design, supply and project managing fields.To assist Line Management and Security Representatitive on sites with asset and inventory control systems for security technology.To effectively plan and manage budgetary allocations.Contribute to the formulation of AKCO’s strategy through the defining and development of a technological policy, to set objectives, direct and review preparations to ensure that the objectives are met and that required financial resources are effectively allocated and controlled.Present technology related strategies, marketing related strategies and technology policies assisting in budgeting.Authorisation of appointments, promotions and leave regarding to line reporting subordinates. Appointments/promotions outside predetermined plans.Appointment of consultants within budgetary scope.Selects and authorise all technology suppliers and service providers according to authorised structure.Compilation and management of an annual budget.Qualified Telecommunications Engineer·Qualified on major security systems (Radar, CCTV and Access Control)·Proven experience in the oil industry during the last 3 years of security systems integration, central and remote monitoring services, IT networking and SQL database management.Sound knowledge of communication and control systems will be an advantage·Sound knowledge of minimum standards and specifications for modern security systems·Must have managed or owned a commercial security technology business during the past 5 years. |
