We have a really exciting opportunity for a Junior Technician to join our team.  The successful candidate will spend time learning all the core skills required of an F1 Junior Technician, in time developing competence and confidence to support our Race Team at the track, be it a race team mechanic or similar.

The Marussia F1 Team is a young and ambitious Anglo-Russian challenger competing in the FIA Formula One World Championship.

Headquartered at the new Marussia Technical Centre in Banbury, UK, the team is majority-owned by the Russian supercar marque, Marussia, based in Moscow.

We are building a tight knit team of people who can provide high quality technical and organisational expertise and have the drive and enthusiasm to succeed in this challenging environment.

Over time, the successful candidate will become competent in the following core areas but also spend time working with our Aero, R&D and Stores Teams.   

At Factory

- Gearbox Assembly

• Assembly/disassembly, fault finding, inspection, cleaning.

- Sub Assembly

• Parts preparation, ensuring sub-assemblies are to the correct specification

- Hydraulics

• Build and servicing of a variety of hydraulic components.  Fault finding, commissioning, non-conformance reporting and product database management

- Composites

• Assemble and maintain composite components at all races to required specification

- Repairing Structures to a high standard.

• Providing manufacturing feedback and assembly suggestions to composite design to help improve methodology and productivity,

Essential Skills and Experience

• Recently achieved a practical motorsport related qualification from a technical college or university.
• (City and Guilds, BTEC, preferably).
• Able to demonstrate practical evidence of genuine interest in automotive/engineering through committed hobbies, interests within these fields.
• Committed and loyal team member.
• Quick thinker and able to grasp new ways of working quickly.
• Excellent communicator.
• Able to work quickly and under pressure.
• Flexible and committed to the demands of the Formula 1 environment.
