Job Description

Our client, is the world leader in building materials is currently seeking to recruit a Process Manager. You will be reporting directly to the Head of OptimisationJOB PURPOSESr. Process Engineer's prime objective is to be responsible to Improve plant reliability and performance by monitoring and analyzing process parameters and quality specs from the quarry to the final products. The scope of this position includes all activities necessary to improve the efficiency and or effectiveness of the major equipment and also of research studies, project definition, and implementation. Key Role and Responsibilities Set personal example with regard to group safety policy and safety standard implementation create safety awareness by promoting and attending safety meetings Lead the field portion of process studies, trials, or modifications, design process measurements plans, , and collecting and compiling all relevant data for the purposes of evaluation, providing conclusions andor determination of follow-up action Lead and coordinate daily performance meetings with Production and Quality departments to follow up and update of performance of the main equipment Interface between operation staff and supplier process experts Responsible for continuous improvement of equipment performance, reliability, efficiency and effectiveness Interface with vendors, contractors, and engineering firms whose functions are to provide project support with engineering and technical know-how associated with capital project installations. Work with equipment designersmanufacturers in the determination of equipment specifications for plant improvement and expansion projects Asses potential alternative raw materials and propose new mix designs. Evaluate the impact of the new raw material in the process and generate feasibility reports with issues and recommendations. Evaluate potential alternative fuels and generate feasibility reports describing optimum fuel blends with issues and recommendations. Provide input for cost budgeting and forecasting and control of expenditures through Identifying production bottlenecks and preparing technical solutions to overcome them in the process Recommend and set operating parameters which will be used as SOP's Optimise the specific heat and power consumptions as per Group Standard requirements Summarise and analyse plant performance and process related issues through process monthly reports Assist and Advise the Environment Engineer in order to optimize and mitigate environmental emissions Perform the scheduled audits of all main equipment and defines corrective action Advise the control of the efficiency of the process and process equipment Advise Operation department the process solution that will optimise equipment and process efficiency Maintain a close working relationship with the Technical Centre, Other Plant Process Staff for the continuous exchange of knowledge, technique and resolving of technical issues Make the different departments teams aware of the process and environment aspects. Run on the job training for young engineers COMMUNICATIONS and WORKING RELATIONSHIPSInternal 1. Quality team for quality result (daily basis) 2. Production team for operation update (daily basis) 3.
